Starborn – Finding Purpose, a story of Makayla Mikami

This story will catalogue the events in the lives of Makayla Mikami. Her parents were citizens of the Va’Ruun empire. They routinely clashed with the zealots and soon realized that the governing body was tightly integrated with the Zealots that were terrorizing Freestar and United Colonies Citizens. Since this was not in line with the beliefs of the great Serpent, they hid aboard a Zealot Starship as it journeyed through space. Eventually they escaped on a small planet in the Delta Pavonis star system. Mikayla was born and raised on the remote planet and learned many skills around survival, piloting, and engineering. Makayla and her father spent lots of their free time building small starships and she learned to fly at the age of 10. Twenty five years later, her parents passed away and she decided to make her way towards New Atlantis. She made acquaintances with a small mining outfit that worked for Argos. In order to gain enough credits for her move to New Atlantis, she boarded a ship heading to Vectera in the Narion System to assist with a mining contract.
